Rue Stanley

Rue Stanley is a self-taught mixed media artist. She creates art using glass, acrylics, fabric, gold leaf, paper collage and a variety of materials. An important element of Rue's work is experiment to constantly push the boundaries and use new materials.  The use of texture and colour is very striking in her work which is abundant in both.

 

Rue uses her travels as inspiration for her work. She takes lots of photographs and uses these to inspire her work.

Rue's recent work is based on imaginary travels : Recent places, include a trip to Mars, courtesy of the NASA explorer and the Brazilian jungle and a dream.

Rue exhibits regularly in Surrey particularly at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking. She is a member of the Surrey Artists Open Studios program and the First For Art artists collective. Rue has sold her work to art lovers across the globe.
