Elizabeth Cooke

A sculptor working mainly in steel, Elizabeth uses the natural world as inspiration for her unique sculptures. Wildlife has been her love from an early age and rather than creating a realistic image of a bird, animal or insect she aims instead to capture the feeling, movements and appearance. A moment in time in their life. Her early training as a dancer allows her to bring elegance and authenticity to each piece.

Elizabeth says "my work evolves from figurative to abstract, often stopping somewhere in between with a pared down representation of an object where from some angles it looks abstract; from others, figurative.”
