Emma Champion 

Emma is an experimental photographer and mixed media artist working primarily with darkroom materials using cameraless techniques.

 

With a background in the photographic industry, She has spent many years in the darkroom exploring a childhood and continuing fascination with light and shadows.

 

Her monochromatic work includes photograms and luminograms created by directing light onto silver gelatin paper using objects, stencils and reflective surfaces.

The resulting images have an ethereal, other-worldly quality to them and the unpredictable nature of the process means they are often impossible to recreate.

 

In complete contrast to this work, Emma is also known for her contemporary text-based artwork providing bold and sparkly affirmations.
