Helen Ridgway

Helen enjoys making sculptural and decorative ceramics as well as a range of functional platters and dishes. 

Her current sculptural work is inspired by the intricate shapes and structures of sea organisms and plants. She is fascinated by the seemingly endless variety of creatures and ecosystems that inhabit the underwater world. She also likes making useful platters that reflect her love of sharing food and time with family and friends.

Helen’s work is hand built using a variety of clays and is often decorated using vibrant underglaze colours, transparent glaze and gold lustre.
